The highspire Police Department is located inside the Municipal Building and is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Police Department consists of the Chief of Police, Sergeant, four full-time officers, and eleven part-time officers.

In addition to enforcing all traffic regulations, criminal, and Borough Ordinances, the Police Department also provides the following services:

  • Child safety seat inspections
  • Home and Business security checks
  • Drug Abuse Resistance Education - D.A.R.E.

 

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homland Security Investigations (HSI), is committed to protecting the Public and ensuring the rights of victims and carefully observed. HSI administers the Victim Notification Program which allows eligible victims and witnesses to obtain reliable and timely information regarding a criminal alien's release from custody. Dauphin County Police Testing Consortium

 

The Dauphin County Police Testing Consortium and ten area agencies have entered into an agreement to conduct a cooperative testing process for the position of police officer.  The physical agility test will take place on Saturday, June 8th and Sunday, June 9th, 2019 and the written exam will take place on Saturday June 15th, 2019. The agencies participating at this time include: Derry Twp. PD, Harrisburg Bureau PD, Harrisburg Internal Airport PD, Highspire Borough PD, Hummelstown Borough PD, Lower Swatara Twp. PD, Penbrook Borough PD, Steelton Borough PD, Susquehanna Twp. PD and Swatara Twp. PD.

 

Interested applicants must register and complete the Online Application Process at www.dauphinpolicetesting.org as well as pay the non-refundable $70.00 fee no later

than May 12th, 2019 at midnight.  No paper applications will be accepted.
