The Highspire Police Department is located inside the Municipal Building and is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Police Department consists of the Public Safety Officer, Sergeant, four full-time officers, and eleven part-time officers.
In addition to enforcing all traffic regulations, criminal, and Borough Ordinances, the Police Department also provides the following services:
- Child safety seat inspections
- Home and Business security checks

several area agencies have entered into an agreement to conduct a cooperative testing process for the position of police officer.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homland Security Investigations (HSI), is committed to protecting the Public and ensuring the rights of victims and carefully observed. HSI administers the Victim Notification Program which allows eligible victims and witnesses to obtain reliable and timely information regarding a criminal alien's release from custody.
