The essential mission of the Highspire Police Department is best described by the department's motto, "To Protect and Serve." The Department fulfills this mission by performing its law enforcement duties in a professional manner with the cooperation of the citizens of the Borough. This spirit of cooperation helps the Department to protect the rights of all persons within its jurisdiction to be free from criminal attack, to be secure in their possessions and to live in peace.

Police protection is provided twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, utilizing a staff of six full time officers and nine part time officers. Last year, in addition to patrol and traffic duties, the police department responded to 3,175 calls for service. The Department also provides public speakers for many subjects such as crime prevention, drug and alcohol abuse and home security. The Department also advises residents to get to know your neighbors.
