Holiday Home Decorating Contest
Soon it will be time to start thinking about decorating your home for the holidays. The Highspire Borough's 2nd Annual Holiday Home Decorating Contest will have more categories and more variety than last year. Prizes will be awarded to the winners! Please look for more information in the November Newsletter.
Trick or Treat night will be held on Thursday, October 29 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Please turn your porch light on to let Trick or Treaters know they are welcome! Here are some Halloween safety tips to follow.
**Stay in well lit areas and never go trick or treating alone.
**Use sidewalks, cross at corners, and watch for traffic. Never run out between parked cars.
**Always carry a flashlight and be sure their are reflective strips on your costume.
**Make sure your costume fits properly. You need to be able to see and hear correctly.
**Parents should check Halloween treats before children eat them.
**Only visit people you know or homes where there is an outside light on.

The pavilions at Highspire's Memorial and Reservoir Parks are available for residents and non-residents to reserve throughout the year. There is no charge for Borough residents, however, a $25.00 charge for non-residents will be collected. If you want to reserve on of the pavilions, please fill out the following form and submit with you payment, if applicable, to the Borough. Your reservation is not complete until you receive a confirmation in the mail.
